Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) - Europe The Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) is an associated body of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) representing the civil aviation regulatory authorities of a number of European States who have agreed to co-operate in developing and implementing common safety regulatory standards and procedures.

ICAO The International Civil Aviation Organization, a UN Specialized Agency, is the global forum for civil aviation. ICAO works to achieve its vision of safe, secure and sustainable development of civil aviation through cooperation amongst its member States.

Federal Aviation Administration The FAA is the regulatory agency for aviation as well as the air traffic control provider for the U.S.

European Civil Aviation Conference Founded in 1955 as an intergovernmental organisation, ECAC's objective is to promote the continued development of a safe, efficient and sustainable European air transport system.

National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) Founded in 1931, the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) is one of the most senior aviation organizations in the United States, predating even the Federal Aviation Administration’s predecessor, the Civil Aeronautics Authority.

Eurocontrol Eurocontrol is the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. This civil and military Organisation which currently numbers 37 Member States, has as its primary objective the development of a seamless, pan-European Air Traffic Management
