SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - The sole survivor of a Papua New Guinea plane crash made a dramatic escape by smashing a cockpit window before the aircraft burst into flames, killing the four other occupants, it was reported Friday.
A spokesman at Miami International Airport says all concourses have reopened after an overnight evacuation prompted by the discovery of a suspicious item in a checked bag.
Residents of Papua New Guinea's remote Misima Island today farewelled the four victims of Tuesday's plane crash who included a New Zealander and three Australians.
